About The Position

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is seeking a Paramedic for the Emergency Department. This role involves providing supportive care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians, performing approved procedures, documenting vital signs, and assisting with various tasks in the emergency setting. Requirements

• 1 year of EMT or Paramedic experience required.
• Paramedic certification required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive care to Emergency Department patients under the direct supervision of the registered nurse or physician.
• Perform approved procedures.
• Take, document, and report vital signs, reporting abnormal results immediately to the registered nurse.
• Take height and weight measurements.
• Place ECG electrodes and attach ECG monitor correctly and perform EKGs.
• Assist with setting up oxygen per instructions.
