About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Paramedic to join our ER team. The Department is fully equipped to handle urgent and critical emergencies, including multiple trauma cases; cardiac, neurological and pediatric emergencies; orthopedic injuries; obstetrical and gynecological cases; and other emergencies. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family for each other and our patients and their families

Requirements

  • State of Florida Paramedic License
  • One (1) year of experience preferred
  • Knowledge of body substance isolation
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

  • High School Graduate / GED

Responsibilities

  • Practice, develop and endorse customer service skills in relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Serves as the patient and family advocate with respect to the patient's right to privacy by protecting confidential information.
  • Plan and implement patient care and teaching based on a total assessment and the age of the patient.
  • Evaluate and document patient response; monitor and recognize changes in physiological and psychosocial status; take appropriate action based on assessment of the patient.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the occurrence reporting system.
