About The Position

You will provide assistance with patient care, transportation of patients, specimens and supplies; cleaning and stocking the department, patient rooms and transport ambulance; other duties as assigned. You will perform intra facility transport. Your job will perform assigned tasks and activities according to skill level and patient needs as assessed by the RN. You will support nursing personnel in providing care to patients and assists with providing a safe, quiet, clean, organized environment for healthcare delivery. You will answer telephone and intercom efficiently and courteously, relaying messages and calls to appropriate personnel and other departments as needed. Your role maintains records, transcribes physician orders, and assures orders are carried out in an expeditious manner.

Requirements

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Current certification/licensure as a Paramedic per state requirements.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a field paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital.
  • Current clinical competency must be demonstrated and additional education/training may be required.
  • Ability to routinely multi-task in a busy, stressful, fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
