About The Position

The Paramedic - Critical Care Transport works under the direction of the medical director and supervision of transport management is responsible for providing safe and the highest quality patient-centered care to critically ill or injured patients from all age groups. This individual will deliver patient care in a variety of settings including, scenes, interfacility transport, and hospital. The Paramedic - Critical Care Transport practices at a professional level that serves to build and maintain relationships with hospital departments, referring organizations, and 911 services in order to promote integrated delivery systems.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an EMT-P training course or related courses.
  • One year of EMS experience.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, communication, and interpersonal skills in a highly stressful environment.
  • Possession of a current applicable state Paramedic license.
  • Valid motor vehicle operator's license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
  • AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire.
  • AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of hire.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) by AAP within six months of hire.
  • Emergency Vehicle Operations Certification (EVOC) within two years of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Three years of Critical Care experience.
  • Associate’s degree in a related field.
  • Critical Care Paramedic Certification by state of licensure at time of hire.
  • Flight Paramedic Certification (FP-C) or Critical Care Paramedic Certification (CCP) awarded by the International Board of Specialty Certification (IBSC) within two years of hire.
