About The Position

This position performs expert level patient care within State approved scope of practice. Provides prehospital emergency care and transport for injured and/or ill patients for Albuquerque Ambulance Service, a division of Presbyterian Healthcare Services. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current NM Drivers License (Out of State candidates must obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Maintain driving record insurable by Presbyterian policy
  • Must pass physical abilities assessment.
  • State of New Mexico Paramedic certification in good standing.
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification
  • Must obtain medical examiner certification/DOT certification as part of on-boarding and maintain.
  • Paramedic Advanced - One year of experience
  • Paramedic Expert - More than four years of experience

Responsibilities

  • As a Paramedic serving the community of Española, you’ll play a critical role on the front lines of emergency medical response.
  • Operating primarily in a dynamic ambulance-based environment, you will assess patients, initiate life-saving interventions, and transport individuals to Presbyterian Espanola Hospital —all while collaborating closely with EMTs, dispatchers, and hospital staff.
  • (24-48 hour shifts)
