About The Position

The Paramedic is a licensed professional who provides direct patient care and transport in the prehospital setting, according to approved EMS protocols and under the direction of the Base Hospital Medical Control. This position reports to the Paramedic Field Supervisor.

Requirements

• Currently licensed by the California Emergency Medical Services Authority as a Paramedic.
• Hazardous Materials training to the First Responder Operations Level prior to the conclusion of department orientation.
• California drivers license with ambulance drivers’ certificate.
• Eligible to be insured under the Medical Center’s Liability Policy with DMV Report.

Nice To Haves

• One year experience in the pre-hospital setting.
• Sierra Sacramento Valley Emergency Medical Services accreditation within 45 days of hire unless an extension is granted.
• Current CPR recognition.
• Current ACLS recognition.
• Current PALS or Handtevy Prehospital Pediatric Provider recognition within 6 months of hire.
• PHTLS within 6 months of hire.
• ICS 100, ICS 200, and ICS 700 within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities
