About The Position

The Paralegal position at Sandoz involves assisting with regulatory and compliance matters, including monitoring deadlines and filing requirements, and supervising outside vendors for licensing and state registration support for all US legal entities. The role also includes supporting mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions, as well as conducting legal research and summarizing findings for attorneys. The position requires coordination with internal departments and external parties regarding legal and business matters, and managing legal files to ensure compliance with document retention policies. The Paralegal will work closely with the Intellectual Property Department and assist with budgeting processes for legal and transactional matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Paralegal certificate with relevant experience, an Associate degree, or Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of paralegal experience in industry, law firm, or corporate legal department.
  • Experience in the Life Science industry is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of paralegal concepts, terminology, and principles.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethics.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with regulatory and compliance matters, including monitoring deadlines and filing requirements.
  • Supervise outside vendors providing licensing and state registration support.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions.
  • Draft and execute ancillary closing documents and maintain wellness check reports.
  • Support corporate governance functions, including maintaining corporate records and preparing board resolutions.
  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorneys.
  • Manage and organize legal files, ensuring compliance with document retention policies.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other legal correspondence as needed.
  • Liaise with global legal operations to support new matter creation and law firm engagements.
  • Analyze and adapt processes to improve efficiency.
