The Paralegal will provide essential legal and administrative support to ensure the agency’s compliance with laws, regulations, and policies while advancing our human services mission. This role combines legal expertise with a strong commitment to measurable social impact, supporting goal-oriented initiatives and tracking outcomes to drive organizational effectiveness. The Paralegal will report to the Chief Legal Officer and work collaboratively with program staff, legal counsel, and external partners to facilitate access to services, advocate for clients, and support legal representation of the agency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
  • 2+ years of paralegal or legal support experience related to litigation, contracts, and/or regulatory compliance.
  • Strong research, drafting, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with case management systems, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior government, nonprofit, or public interest law experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of social service regulations and nonprofit operations is a plus.
  • Mission-driven mindset with focus on client outcomes and program goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support projects and tasks related to legal representation of the agency including with respect to litigation, contracts, regulatory compliance, employment matters, and other areas.
  • Conduct legal and factual research, analyze issues, and summarize findings to support decision-making and program development.
  • Support case management by preparing and reviewing legal documents, organizing case files, and tracking outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records, files, and databases in compliance with agency and legal standards.
  • Assist in evaluating program effectiveness through data collection and reporting on key metrics.
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and metrics dashboards to measure program impact.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to advance agency goals and improve service delivery.
  • Assist in developing policies, procedures, and best practices for legal and program operations.
