The individual will work under the direct supervision of the Deputy City Attorney for the civil division of the Bloomington City Attorney's Office, handling the most complex of the support services needed for legal matters in the civil division. The position primarily assists in the litigation of civil cases, administrative hearings, contract and document review management, legal research, and furnishing paralegal services to the civil division. Assist in the preparation of City Council agenda items Assist in the preparation, drafting, and review of ordinances, resolutions, and notices of public hearings; and execution of documents using e-signature software Coordinate the legal review of contract drafting, review, and signature processes Draft and review performance agreements and low-risk services contracts Coordinate, design, and maintain the civil document review systems Review and coordinate City bankruptcy-related documents and filings
