About The Position

The Attorney General is looking for a highly motivated individual to serve as a Paralegal in the Environmental Protection Division (EPD) of the Energy & Environment Bureau. EPD brings civil cases to enforce environmental laws, pursues other affirmative litigation and advocacy to promote environmental protection, and defends the Commonwealth in certain environmental litigation. The qualified candidate will assist attorneys in the Environmental Protection Division in handling high-profile, impact climate litigation and legal projects. The Paralegal will be in frequent contact with litigation attorneys, handle critical and confidential materials, and help ensure the highest level of professionalism in EPD. This is a fast-paced, high-profile work environment that requires the ability to work on a range of complex matters, often under time pressure.

Requirements

• Experience or interest in environmental law, climate change, and climate-related litigation.
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Analytical skills, sound judgment, and excellent attention to
• Exceptional organizational and database management skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the capability to learn Office case docketing software.
• Working knowledge of legal research tools, including Westlaw, is

• Conducting legal research, fact gathering, and preparing substantive
