About The Position

As Nutrabolt’s Corporate Paralegal, you will be responsible for supporting various functions of our Legal Department, including contract preparation and administration, legal research, maintaining corporate documentation, administration of various privacy requests, project management, and assisting with compliance programs. This role requires superior attention to detail, incredible intuition, great resiliency, the ability to meet deadlines, impeccable organizational skills, ability to juggle multiple high priority requests, managing and scheduling meetings for outstanding projects, willingness to learn, and ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of teammates.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of paralegal experience, with a combination of commercial contracts and intellectual property experience, preferably in an in-house legal department or law firm supporting corporate clients
  • Solid working knowledge of commercial contracts
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, operations, sales, brand) and explaining legal processes in a practical, business-friendly manner
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple matters, deadlines, and competing priorities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Operates with the utmost discretion in handling private and confidential data and communications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues to attorneys
  • Experience collaborating with the business and legal teams on trademark review and clearance, proper usage, and brand protection and assisting in coordinating review and clearance
  • Experience using contract lifecycle management systems and reviewing and interpreting contracts and legal documents for relevant information
  • Exhibits good listening and comprehension skills
  • Responds promptly to Legal team needs, as well as other Nutrabolt teams’ needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning new legal technology tools

  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent formal training preferred, but not required with sufficient relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the company’s contract management software to: (1) manage incoming contract requests and complete tasks during the contract phase, including drafting various contracts for attorney review, ensuring required departments have completed tasks/approvals, and reviewing any open contract request tickets for final steps to close the ticket, and circulating agreements for signature; (2) assist in management of the company’s contract repository, including tagging all contracts appropriately to allow the business to easily locate, review, and manage agreements; and (3) track key contract terms, renewal dates, notice requirements, and obligations and provide timely reminders to legal and business stakeholders.
  • Draft and complete various contracts, such as nondisclosure agreements, vendor agreements, license agreements, sponsorship agreements, amendments, legal notices, and any other agreements that are assigned.
  • Assist Director of IP & Trademarks with management of the company’s domestic and international trademark portfolio, including collaborating with marketing, brand, and business teams to support trademark clearance, proper usage, and brand protection initiatives.
  • Assist in managing company sweepstakes and contests, including drafting official rules, managing sending and collection of winner affidavits, and coordinating with cross-functional departments.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and templates.
  • Work independently in performing various projects that may require reviewing contracts, analyzing data, and pulling detailed information into various data formats for use by the business.
  • Assist Legal Operations Manager as needed with vendor invoicing and payment for Legal’s domestic and international vendors, ensuring proper approvals are obtained, tracking invoices through the various stages, and submitting payment approvals via email to the Accounts Payable Department.
  • Conduct legal research, review and interpret contracts, and respond to contract-related inquiries posed by the business teams.
  • Apply necessary changes to contracts and corporate policies to remain compliant with applicable laws and regulations in the various jurisdictions where the company operates.
  • Perform general paralegal and administrative support tasks as needed to support the Legal team’s workload and priorities.
  • Serve as a point of contact between Legal and internal stakeholders on routine matters.
