In this role you will manage information, assist with the creation of legal and corporate documents, and support compliance and litigation activities under the direction of the corporate legal department. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or related field with seven years of relevant experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge in Company areas of business, including knowledge of products, markets, and customers and familiarity with laws and compliance regulations applicable to company.
  • Strong relationship building skills with an ability to work collaboratively and represent department and Vermeer professionally in various internal and external settings.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize tasks, respond to feedback, and adapt to dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the legal and environmental, health, safety and security teams in leading and managing projects and compliance activities, including preparing and filing reports in state, federal, and national jurisdictions.
  • Support and assist internal and assigned outside counsel with litigation, including product liability, employment, contract, and worker’s compensation matters.
  • Create, maintain, and execute corporate instructions and compliance policies to support legal and compliance strategies for the company and its subsidiaries and affiliates.
  • Coordinate and provide appropriate reviews and approvals for company content, including marketing and brand materials.
  • Provide administrative support for creating and maintaining corporate records.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including expense reports, travel planning, meeting preparation, and invoice and expense reviews and submissions.
