About The Position

This position serves as a clerical expert in independently processing the most complicated types of personnel actions, e.g., temporary employment, rehires, and dismissals. May perform tasks beyond routine clerical such as responding to routine questions on policy and procedures, and/or provide reports on employee turnover or time and attendance. Assistant may be asked to evaluate and consolidate information from various sources under short deadlines, such as internal or external survey information. May provide guidance to lower level Personnel Assistants. General duties: Assist with data entry & review of standard forms in HR systems; ensure actions are properly documented, coded, and routed Reporting & Data Management: Generate, review, and reconcile HR reports related to staffing, payroll, and performance management; assist with data calls and quarterly audits. Records & Document Management: Maintain electronic Official Personnel Folders (eOPFS) and HR shared drives; ensure compliance with record keeping and confidentiality requirements. Administrative Support: Track incoming/outgoing HR actions, scheduling meetings, prepare correspondence, and maintain tracking logs for recruiters, awards, and performance plans Customer Service Support: Respond to employee and supervisor inquiries related to administrative HR matters, routing more complex inquiries to HR Specialist

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location
  • Requires extensive knowledge of various office software packages.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products and Human Resources database systems.
  • Ability to perform detailed work consistently, accurately, and under pressure extremely important.
  • Must have typing/keyboarding skills (65 wpm).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
