About The Position

Eckert Seamans is a full-service national law firm with a strong reputation and history of success that spans more than 65 years. With approximately 300 lawyers across a network of 14 offices, we provide clients with proactive, solution-oriented business and litigation counsel. We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal for our Wilmington, Delaware office. Position Description: Preparation of legal documents and pleadings File documents with courts Summarize depositions and prepare status reports for attorneys Organization and management of documents, including managing spreadsheets and retrieval systems Act as liaison among various parties including court for scheduling and communication between counsel for all parties Coordinate the collection, review, and production of documents and respond to discovery requests Assist with conducting research and investigating facts Assist with trial preparation including assembly of exhibits, witness binders and appendices for depositions and court filings Coordination of large-scale document jobs with the Firm’s Office Services Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to function well in a high paced environment
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and U.S legal system
  • Aptitude for learning new applications, systems, and processes
  • Proficient with electronic court filing
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office365
  • Proficient with document management systems, iManage preferred
  • Proficient in ShareFile and Kroll preferred
  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • College degree or Paralegal Certification from an ABA accredited program preferred, or a combination of education and/or experience.
  • Experience in civil litigation defense is desirable but not required.
