About The Position

Schedule: Fulltime 40hrs/week What You’ll Do Responsible for preparation of contracts, legal documents, letters and pleadings as well as court motions as directed by General Counsel. Assists with setting up and managing the risk management legal and claims files and assist with preparation of discovery. Works with General Counsel and assists with the support functions of Risk Management Department. Freeman in Joplin, Missouri, is a 460-bed, three-hospital system providing comprehensive healthcare services to an area that includes more than 450,000 from Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Freeman Health System includes Freeman Hospital West, Freeman Hospital East, Freeman Neosho Hospital and Ozark Center – the area’s largest provider of behavioral health services – as well as two urgent care clinics, dozens of physician clinics and a variety of specialty services.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school with a paralegal degree or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in Missouri Court system preferred.
Health-related legal experience preferred
