About The Position

Stateside Brands is a rapidly growing spirits company dedicated to producing premium-quality beverages– Surfside Iced Teas and Lemonades, Stateside Sodas, Super Lyte Sports Drinks, and Stateside Vodka. With a focus on innovation and quality, we take pride in our diverse portfolio of products that reflect our commitment to excellence. Stateside Brands is looking to expand its legal department with an organized, practical, and business-minded Paralegal. The legal team supports every aspect of our fast-moving and growing alcoholic beverage business. The in-house Paralegal will be responsible for various tasks, including contract and case file management, litigation support, regulatory compliance, and legal research as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
  • Previous corporate in-house legal experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the confidential nature of legal work and demonstrated trustworthiness.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear, logical conclusions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite, legal research databases, document management systems, and other relevant technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage contracts and vendor agreements across all departments.
  • Support the management of alcohol and business licensing across all 50 states.
  • Assist in the review of commercial agreements, including non-disclosure agreements.
  • Provide litigation support by organizing and managing case files, assisting with discovery, and coordinating with external legal counsel.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations by staying up to date with changes in legislation and advising the legal team and other departments accordingly.
  • Conduct legal research as needed.
  • Develop compliance routine procedures and audits.
