About The Position

The Farmer’s Dog is looking for a highly motivated corporate Paralegal to join our fast-growing Legal Department and manage the company’s day-to-day legal needs. This is a high-impact role that requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for law, and of course, dogs! The role involves drafting, reviewing, and maintaining contracts, managing legal documentation, and supporting various legal matters under attorney supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree and paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program.
• 3-5 years experience in an in-house paralegal role.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Proactive, self-starter who excels in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience working with contracts, including managing a contract management system.
• Skilled communicator with the ability to distill complexity into simple terms.
• Proficient with GoogleSuite, Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), DocuSign, Asana & Adobe Acrobat.
• A passion for dogs.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and maintain contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, letter agreements and other stakeholder agreements under attorney supervision.
• Maintain organized legal documentation, trackers and databases.
• Compose and coordinate legal correspondence.
• Complete corporate, regulatory and financial filings, liaising with agents as required.
• Support continuous improvement to workflows to streamline legal requests and improve efficiency.
• Supervise the status of requests in the legal department queue and track SLAs.
• Manage the company's IP portfolio and handle associated IP matters.
• Provide support on other legal matters as needed.
