Legal Services of North Florida (LSNF) is seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join our team in a full-time capacity, working 35 hours a week. This position is crucial in supporting our mission to provide legal services to low-income and vulnerable individuals in our communities. LSNF is a non-profit law firm that handles over 8,900 cases annually without charging clients for our services. As a Paralegal, you will work collaboratively with a team of legal professionals in civil litigation and administrative law, focusing on civil legal issues such as housing stability, family law, victims' rights, and public benefits. You will have the opportunity to engage in significant litigation, including large-scale impact work and appellate work, while also participating in community education and outreach initiatives through our Justice on the Block mobile response units. In this role, you will be responsible for client communications and interactions, e-filing, conducting client interviews, and preparing legal documents and hearing materials. You will draft letters, legal motions, and orders as required by the legal jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to maintain accurate client records, and a desire to positively impact clients' lives and the community. This position may be located in any of our five offices across North Florida, including Pensacola, Tallahassee, Ft. Walton Beach, Panama City, or Quincy. LSNF values work-life balance and offers a supportive environment where you can thrive both independently and as part of a team.
