About The Position

GEICO is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Paralegal to join its Legal Department. This role primarily supports legal teams by providing advice related to GEICO's insurance products and distribution. The position requires excellent communication and task management skills, as well as the ability to interact confidentially with leadership. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong technical skills, particularly in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years' experience as a paralegal - REQUIRED
• A minimum of 1 year as an insurance law paralegal - REQUIRED
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Create and execute research plans for various questions related to the regulation of insurance products
• Collaborate, consult, and provide information with Legal Department attorneys and outside counsel
• Research and resolve issues and matters which may involve substantial legal or factual complexity
• Evaluate risk/merits of complaints and advise with in-depth communication to supervising attorneys
• Conduct or update 50-state surveys on various insurance-law topics
• Draft summaries or reports to explain research findings to Legal Department management and business partners
• Participate in insurance-related work teams and activities within the Legal Department
• Handle paralegal assignments related to other areas of the law
