PARALEGAL (Contract) - EL SEGUNDO, CA
Skyryse is looking to hire a Paralegal to join our team! In this role, you will provide essential support by handling legal and administrative tasks, researching legal issues, preparing legal documents, and assisting in case management. The role requires a strong understanding of legal principles and procedures, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail.
This is a full-time contract onsite opportunity based out of El Segundo, CA.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal Certification from an ABA-approved program preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in an aerospace, aviation, or highly regulated industry
• Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance
• Knowledge of aerospace regulations, aircraft ownership and registration, and related aerospace legal matters is highly desirable, but not required
• Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw) and document management systems
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize the Legal Department’s documentation, including contracts, compliance records, and regulatory filings.
• Develop and implement efficient systems for document storage, retrieval, and tracking, including digital file management systems.
• Manage and update legal calendars, ensuring all deadlines are met (e.g., regulatory filings, contract renewals, and litigation schedules).
• Maintain comprehensive records for the company’s aircraft, including ownership documents, leases, certifications, and registrations.
• Monitor regulatory compliance related to aircraft maintenance, licensing, and operational requirements.
• Work closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure timely updates of legal documentation.
• Assist in processing and managing invoices from outside counsel and legal vendors.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and summaries for legal counsel and executives.
• Draft, review, and edit legal documents, including contracts, NDAs, and corporate resolutions, under the supervision of legal counsel.
• Maintain relevant state and local licensing files and complete all necessary registrations in a timely and professional manner.
• Conduct legal research on aerospace-specific regulations, compliance matters, and general corporate issues.
• Assist in managing litigation matters, including gathering and organizing evidence and responding to discovery requests.
• Support transactional matters, including M&A due diligence and contract negotiations.
