CLS is hiring two paralegal supervisors to manage the Denver front desk intake specialists and CSI paralegals. One manager will supervise the front desk intake staff and a team of paralegals. The other manager will supervise CSI paralegals and will perform a variety of administrative tasks. Both of these positions are management positions in CLS’s Denver Office and require being in-person and on-site Monday through Friday to provide oversight and support to staff. Both managers will be responsible for developing and maintaining systems for effective communication, managing quality control during the applicant intake process, and working together as a team to provide oversight, training, and support to CSI paralegals and intake specialists. CLS managers have the responsibility of working with staff to meet CLS’ statewide organizational, professional, and community goals – all of which emphasize providing high-quality civil legal services to low-income Coloradans and achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients. Our managers are guided by all four of our CLS values: excellent advocacy; empowerment, collaboration, and courage. While the responsibilities of a supervisor at CLS are wide-ranging and challenging, carrying them out successfully is vital to the success of the organization and to serve our client communities. Our managers should be continually working towards developing and growing competencies in the following areas: adaptive & collaborative management; coaching & empowering people; communication & active listening; community engagement; empathetic and trauma-informed leadership; and practice area/core knowledge expertise. Essential Duties: Both managers will likely spend 50-60% of their time on administrative/supervision related duties. The remainder of their time will be as CSI paralegal.
