About The Position

Join Morley's legal team as a Paralegal and Contracts Specialist, where you'll play a critical role in supporting our legal operations, contracts process and corporate compliance efforts. Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with contract and commercial contract language, including redlining of basic contract terms
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, corporate governance and contract processes
  • Proficiency in legal research
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
  • Able to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • A positive, self-starter attitude and ability to meet deadlines
  • Associate or bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years in a contract management, paralegal, legal administration or similar role
  • Experience with contract management platforms
  • Work 15-40 hours per week, scheduled between the hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday-Friday (hours to be discussed during interview process)
  • Flexible to support after standard work hours or on weekends if needed to complete high-priority projects or accommodate client / program schedules
  • Willing to work on site in Saginaw, Michigan, during the initial training period and as needed after that point
  • High-speed internet access at home that you are able to connect to via Ethernet or landline
  • Secluded and distraction-free work environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist with contract review and management, legal research, policy development and compliance
  • Provide comprehensive support to our legal and compliance teams
  • Draft, review and revise legal documents and internal policies
  • Manage the contract review process, including redlining, tagging and monitoring contract terms, key dates and compliance
  • Coordinate and perform the initial review of contracts received from clients, vendors and third parties
  • Maintain and improve the contract management system, ensuring accuracy and timely updates
  • Support and help draft responses to third-party inquiries, including subpoenas and records requests
  • Conduct legal research on state and federal regulations, statutes and case law
  • Monitor legislative and litigation developments relevant to the business
  • Assist with corporate governance and compliance tasks
  • Coordinate communications and document retention
  • Perform additional administrative and legal support duties as needed
