Position Details: Special Education Paraeducators
Title: Paraeducators
Location: Burlington, CT
Duration: ASAP to Tentatively till 6/11/2026
Onsite/Virtual: Onsite
Position Type: Contract
Working Hours: 32.5 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday, 30 min un paid lunch.
Student Age Group: Elementary school

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of college credit OR an Associate's degree (or higher) OR Pass a paraeducator assessment (Para Pro).

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as a Paraeducator is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with special needs under the direction of a certified teacher.
• Help with general daily classroom activities.
• Support special needs students in their physical and emotional health and safety.
• Promote dignity in all relationships.
• Teach small groups of students essential skills for learning.
• Assist with core academics and executive functioning skills.
• Contribute to positive educational outcomes as part of a dedicated team.
