About The Position

Work with elementary school children, both in general education classrooms and the special education classroom to support students academically, socially, emotionally, and/or physically. Position involves working 1:1 with a student or with small groups of students.

Requirements

• High School diploma, two years of college preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of various disabilities
• Knowledge of school classroom procedure, including preparation and maintenance of records.
• Knowledge of special education procedures.
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities at the Elementary School level.
• Experience working with age appropriate students in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Support students academically, emotionally, behaviorally, socially in the school setting
• Assist students with toileting as needed
• Ability to follow directions and implement accommodations and modifications as directed by teachers and related service providers
• Ability to collect data consistently
