About The Position

Requirements

• Must hold an Associate degree (AA) or higher, or have completed two years of study equivalent to 72 college quarter credit hours.
• Must have passed the Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment with a score of 455 or higher, or the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment with a score of 220 or higher.
• Official documentation of qualifications will be required upon hire.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students with physical or behavioral needs.
• Support students' special health care needs and develop daily living and behavioral skills.
• Assist staff with classroom preparation and the use and storage of equipment and supplies.
• Supervise and assist students in various settings including libraries, classrooms, resource rooms, and playgrounds.
• Help students get on and off the bus.
