The following positions are in the Special Design Program and Paraeducators may be reassigned during the year based on student enrollment or other factors. The Student Paraeducator works one-on-one individually with a student with disabilities or sometimes more than one student. This is a school year position (192 days / 10 months) with hours per day set at 7. The anticipated start date is for the 2024-2025 school year. Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision through SEBB (School Employee Benefits Board) for employees who work at least 630 hours per academic year, along with additional benefits such as vacation, sick, personal days, and paid holidays. Most positions have additional pay provisions above what is represented on the salary schedule, all in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreements as negotiated. The salary is set at LEVEL 33 on the Paraeducator Salary Schedule, with experience increments depending on experience in the same or similar permanent position within a Washington State public school or another state's public school.
