About The Position
The Westminster School District (WSD) is dedicated to leading the way as the premier Pre K-8th grade school district in Orange County, CA, providing exceptional and innovative experiences where all learners thrive. The district operates 17 schools, including 13 elementary sites, three middle schools, and one preschool program, serving approximately 8,200 students. The district emphasizes a well-balanced and rigorous curriculum supported by modern library-media centers, technology integration, and specialized instruction. The position involves assisting a certificated teacher or specialist in providing behavior support to students, particularly those with significant behavioral concerns. The role includes performing independent paraprofessional duties related to both regular and special education students, implementing behavioral intervention plans, and providing specialized assistance requiring specific training in behavior-related programs. Additionally, the position involves providing instruction to entry-level instructional assistants and assisting supervisors with organizational and procedural issues.
