The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration. Hotel Website, Instagram, Facebook What you will have an opportunity to do: This position is Seasonal/Part-Time Paradise Pool is our family friendly pool with an incredible triple 65 feet water slide, 15 indoor air-conditioned cabanas, and a swim up bar. The Saguaro Pool is our adult pool for 21+ serving as a refreshing oasis and chic gathering space. The contemporary yet tranquil setting has 8 private cabanas, 5 daybeds, and a bar. Both pools serve artfully crafted cocktails and a fresh eclectic cuisine. The Pool Concierge is responsible for providing exceptional service at every opportunity specifically while selling merchandise and communicating with every guest and each co-worker. Support the pool servers with the day-to-day service of food and beverage items at the main pool complex and perimeter pools. In addition, this position assists in maintaining the overall appearance and organization of the pool.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Previous customer service or hospitality experience.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include greeting and checking in guests of Paradise/Saguaro Pools, answering all guest questions and requests in a prompt, courteous and friendly manner, making reservations and selling retail merchandise.
Set up all cabanas and concierge desk daily according to the standards set forth in training manual.
Actively partake in pool/cabana cleanliness and straightening of merchandise at opening and close of business daily.
Prepare cabana guests lists for the restaurant staff with accurate pricing name and guest rooms if any.
Answer phones, assist in taking special customer orders, and ring in sales.
Regularly tour and inspect perimeter areas of the pool area and straighten furniture and other fixtures while maintaining cleanliness as necessary.
Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others.
Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency, and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.
