About The Position

Nodaway Valley Community School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered educator to join our team immediately. Responsibilities

  • Instructional Support Assist the teacher with delivering lessons and reinforcing concepts Work with small groups or individual students for targeted support Help adapt materials to meet diverse learning needs
  • Student Support Provide one-on-one assistance for students with academic, behavioral, or physical needs Support students with disabilities in accessing the curriculum Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement
  • Classroom Management Help maintain a positive, structured learning environment Monitor student behavior and reinforce expectations Assist with transitions, routines, and organization
  • Behavioral and Social Support Implement behavior intervention plans under teacher direction Model appropriate social skills and interactions Help de-escalate challenging situations when needed
  • Clerical and Organizational Tasks Prepare instructional materials and classroom resources Assist with data collection and record-keeping Supervise students during non-instructional times
  • Collaboration and Communication Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers Share observations about student progress and needs Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Personal Care (when applicable) Assist students with mobility, hygiene, feeding, or medical needs as required.
