Requirements

• Must hold an Associate degree (AA) or higher, OR have completed two years of study equivalent to 72 college quarter credit hours, OR have passed an Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment with a score of 455 or higher, OR have passed the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment with a score of 220 or higher.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students with physical or behavioral needs.
• Support students' special health care needs and develop daily living and behavioral skills.
• Assist staff with classroom preparation and retrieval, use, and storage of equipment and supplies.
• Supervise and assist students in various settings including library, classrooms, resource rooms, self-contained classrooms, playgrounds, or during bus transitions.
