Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One of the following: Associate of Arts degree in Child Development, Psychology, or other related field; OR a minimum of twelve college units in child behavior, child growth and development, education, or psychology; OR a minimum of two years relevant full-time experience in a special education classroom with satisfactory evaluations.
  • Valid California driver's license and insurable.
  • Verification of a minimum of six additional hours of in-service training, or three college units, in behavior modification, behavioral intervention, and/or DTT must be completed prior to employment, or within one year of employment.
  • Current certification in behavioral and instructional strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Complete each part of the examination process to be considered for the position.
  • Maintain current certification in behavioral and instructional strategies.
  • Complete verification of in-service training or college units in behavior modification, behavioral intervention, and/or DTT.
  • Provide two recent letters of reference.
  • Ensure all application requirements are attached when submitting.
