About The Position

The Facility Attendant at Papillion Landing is responsible for promoting positive interactions among members and guests while assisting in various areas of the Community Center. This role involves supervising children in the Child Watch area, providing excellent customer service at the front desk, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for all visitors. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays, to support the daily operations and events at the facility.

Requirements

  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age at the time of hire.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from patrons.
  • Knowledge of rules and protocols of individual and team sports and safety guidelines related to assignment.
  • Good knowledge of customer service standards.
  • Ability to exercise initiative, good judgement, and work independently with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, in English.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all patrons and customers.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification (must be obtained within a specified timeframe)

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and clean facilities, eating areas, and bathrooms regularly to maintain cleanliness and a hazard-free environment.
  • Perform custodial duties such as sweeping, picking up trash, sanitizing, and vacuuming.
  • Set up, clean up, and maintain areas for events, including cleaning spills and returning equipment used for events.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies regarding hygiene, health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
  • Provide a safe and creative play atmosphere for children participating in recreational programs.
  • Enforce rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in employee training sessions as required.
  • Establish and maintain positive public relations with patrons and other employees.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash and credit payments accurately.
  • Report any equipment or food supply issues to the appropriate supervisor.
