Irving group of companies Relocation costs (if applicable) Responsibilities Reporting to the Paper Mill Operations Leader, the Process Tech is responsible for the operation of the stock, water, broke and chemical systems on the tissue machine. The Process Tech is responsible for operating within compliance with regional codes and safety standards. Must be safety conscience and able to communicate the commitment to working safe at all times Must Follow the department and the site safe work practices, rules and procedures. Review daily quality data to make sure the mill is meeting the established standards. When test data or sheet appearance is out of standard develop plan to get back to standard within 24 hours Assist in training Paper Mill employees Maintain the Daily Operations of the Paper Mill and Pulp Prep. Including: Reviewing logbook documentation, centerlines, test data, sheet break data, daily down time and daily production. Put plans in place to correct out of standard situations Assist in optimizing all systems and processes to help deliver the expected results Assist in trial plan development for all PP and PM trials. Brand change standard work development. Daily rounds are completed to make sure the equipment is running properly Maintenance Days and Outage Planning. Assist in Developing the operations work plan for all maintenance days and short downs. Assist in developing the operations work plan for the paper mill annual outages. Assist in Coordinating all lock outs for all maintenance days and short downs. Plan and execute small projects. Assist in developing time-based model work orders for all operations maintenance work. Assist in startups and shutdowns Attend all Paper Mill and site meetings as required.

Requirements

  • High School or GED equivalent is required

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years Paper Mill Experience
  • Computer systems aptitude and PC skills are preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are preferred
  • High attention to detail is required
  • Experience in a Manufacturing environment is preferred
