The role… As a member of the Urbana team, you will be responsible for achieving optimum productivity while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This position supports a 24/7 operation working a 3-2-2 schedule rotating 2 weeks 7a-7p then 2 weeks 7p-7a. How you’ll make an impact… Comprehensive understanding of personal and machine-specific safety Maintain a safe, clean work environment Physically inspect, communicate, and troubleshoot the quality of product and customer/order specifications Retrieve order specs, documentation, and order data to/from SAP Assist in machine maintenance and perform periodic maintenance to the machine Move material to and around the paper mill and stock prep area
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of manufacturing experience (paper mill experience preferred)
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as a ruler, tape measure, caliper, and micrometer
- Ability to read work instructions and apply them to the job
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Ability to train others and willingness to cross-train
