About The Position

The Paper Machine Superintendent is responsible for directing and leading the production operations of one or more paper machines at the assigned facility. This role focuses on creating a safe work environment while continuously improving quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of operations. The Superintendent will oversee stock preparation operations and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, while also developing budgets and managing financial results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of paper machine experience, including 6 years in operations/engineering and 4 years in supervisory roles.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems and maintenance recordkeeping.
• Thorough knowledge of budgeting and operations planning.
• Working knowledge of planning and scheduling processes.
• Experience with safety, health, and environmental regulations (OSHA, state, local laws).
• Familiarity with process improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and statistics.
