Paper Converting Machine Operator

As a Paper Converting Machine Operator with our client, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by efficiently operating machinery that converts large rolls of paper into smaller rolls or sheets tailored to meet specific client requirements. This position is essential in ensuring that the production output meets high-quality standards while adhering to the specifications outlined in work orders. You will be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where attention to detail and the ability to maintain efficiency in both quantity and quality of production are paramount. Your responsibilities will include setting up, operating, and maintaining the converting machinery, which requires a solid understanding of the equipment and its functions. You will also be responsible for handling raw materials and finished products with care, ensuring that all processes are conducted safely and efficiently. Basic maintenance and cleaning of the machines will be part of your daily tasks, as well as utilizing forklifts to load and unload machines and move products as necessary. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently while following instructions and safety protocols. The working hours for this position are from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and you may be required to work occasional Fridays based on production needs. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of hands-on experience in manufacturing, preferably in the paper industry, and possess strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with basic computer skills for data entry.
