Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, includes, MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; push and pull.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares ingredients for salads, cold dishes, garnishes and d'oeuvres
  • Carves and slices meats and cheese
  • Makes sandwiches to order
  • Prepares salad dressings, cocktail sauces, breakfast fruit and cold desserts
  • Portions and arranges food, sauces and dressings
  • Assists in the planning of special meal functions for special events
  • Prepares therapeutic meals for special diets and special resident requests
  • Maintains assigned work station, supplies and equipment in a safe and sanitary condition, and ensures all infection control policies and procedures are met
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Arcadia Family of Companies (AFC)
