Max a Mia, located in Avon, CT, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pantry Cook with open availability to join our energetic kitchen team. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as a pantry or cold food prep in a high-volume restaurant setting is strongly preferred
  • Professional behavior and strong time management
  • Attention to detail and consistency under pressure
  • Team player with strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow direction and maintain cleanliness and efficiency
  • Open availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Previous line cook experience is a PLUS
  • Comfortable working across different kitchen stations in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and plate cold appetizers, salads, dressings, and garnishes to the restaurant’s standards
  • Handle mise en place including slicing, dicing, mixing, and assembling cold items
  • Support other stations and assist during high-volume service or special events
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures with accuracy
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked station
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative kitchen environment
