About The Position

As a Pantry Cook at our Offsite Production Kitchen, you will work collaboratively with your coworkers to create the salads, soups, and entrees that are sold at our retail store locations. You will have the opportunity to help turn top-notch, high quality ingredients into delicious, outstanding dishes.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working as a prep cook
  • A positive attitude and collaborative spirit

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently plan food preparations
  • Use knife and cooking techniques that maximize production
  • Strictly document to effectively meet HACCP standards
  • Use tested recipes and double check yield of recipe against amount ordered
  • Promptly store unused ingredients and place dirty dishes in the dish washing station
  • Ensure that all recipes and food preparations are tasty, fresh, and attractive
  • Maintain hand hygiene and personal cleanliness including clean clothes and chef coats
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace according to the HACCP plan
  • Inform supervisors of low stock on ingredients to minimize out of stocks
  • Participate in recipe development
  • Participate in kitchen deep cleaning projects and inventories
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Manage oven and stove
  • Assist kitchen clerks and bakery staff as needed
  • Participate in thoroughly cleaning the kitchen according to the closing checklist
  • Treat people fairly, consistently and with respect
  • Abide by all co-op policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and other company documents
  • Participate in required training and meetings
  • Keep the kitchen orderly and clean
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by a supervisor
