Panel Technician Job Overview: Our Des Moines client is seeking to add a Panel Technician to their team. The Panel Technician is a hands-on assembler of industrial control panels and electrical assemblies. This position requires the knowledge of electricity, blue print reading, and electrical measurement. This is a Direct Hire role.

Requirements

• Completion of an Associate’s degree program in a related discipline from an accredited college, technical school, or university; or Other equivalent education and experience combinations will be considered with solid evidence of success.
• Demonstrated to be proficient with computer technologies including but not limited to, Windows Operating Systems, and the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Mechanical or electrical assembly experience.
• Electrical trade experience.
• Knowledge of UL, NEC or other electrical standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical control panels using hand tools and machines as assigned while under the direction of others.
• Adhere to construction schedules.
• Adhere to NEC, UL, or CE code.
• Read and understand detailed schematics, blueprints, parts lists, etc.
• Monitor supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies.
• Monitor personal quality measures are being met.
