We are currently hiring for the role of Panel Shop Logistics Specialist. SUMMARY The Logistics Specialist supports daily operations of the Panel Shop by ensuring materials move safely, accurately, and on time between company facilities, warehouse locations, and production areas. This role is responsible for interfacility transportation using a box truck, forklift, walkie lift and pallet jack for receiving and put-away transactions, material picking and staging for production, and coordinating outbound shipments. This position plays a critical role in maintaining material flow, inventory accuracy, and production readiness to support panel shop operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two to three years of related warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, purchase orders, bills of lading, work orders, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and external carriers.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to calculate quantities, verify counts, and interpret basic measurements.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies, resolve routine problems, and escalate exceptions appropriately.
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks to meet daily production and delivery schedules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to learn and utilize ERP/WMS systems for receiving, inventory, and shipping transactions.
  • Basic understanding of part numbers, BOMs, and inventory location systems.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds routinely.
  • Operate material handling equipment and load/unload truck cargo.
  • Requires close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate a 26’ box truck.
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional technical training or logistics certification preferred.
  • Experience driving a box truck preferred.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Willingness to travel between two company facilities daily.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company box truck to transport materials, components, enclosures, and finished panels between Kele facilities.
  • Load and unload materials using proper material handling equipment (forklift, walkie lift, & pallet jack), ensuring loads are secured to prevent damage.
  • Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain accurate transfer documentation and ensure timely delivery to support production schedules.
  • Follow all DOT regulations, company driving policies, and safety procedures.
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities, part numbers, and condition against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Accurately perform receiving transactions in ERP/WMS system.
  • Label and identify materials per company standards.
  • Complete put-away transactions and place materials in assigned warehouse locations.
  • Report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods to appropriate departments.
  • Support cycle counts and physical inventory processes as required.
  • Pick materials for panel shop work orders using pick lists and bills of material (BOMs).
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and revisions prior to staging.
  • Stage materials accurately and on time to support daily production schedules.
  • Replenish components from warehouse to manufacturing areas as needed.
  • Communicate material shortages or discrepancies to production leadership and purchasing.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
  • Coordinate daily interaction with freight carriers and serve as a key point of contact for outbound logistics.
  • Ensure shipments meet internal, customer, and carrier requirements.
  • Maintain clean, organized warehouse, dock, and staging areas.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely (certification required or ability to obtain).
  • Adhere to all company safety standards and quality requirements related to panel shop operations.
