About The Position

Leer is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Panel Framer to join our production team. This position is responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints to accurately assemble wood frames and attach sheet metal according to specifications. The ideal candidate will ensure all panels meet quality and accuracy standards before moving them to the next phase of production.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in reading and using tape measures.
• Proficiency in using drills and small hand tools efficiently and safely.
• Strong communication skills, strong math skills, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Adherence to all safety policies and protocols.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift, push and pull 75+ pounds on a continual basis.
• Ability to safely operate drills and hand tools.
• Ability to reach over, below, and above shoulder height frequently.
• Ability to stand on concrete for up to 10 hours a day.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in manufacturing a plus.
• Carpentry experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to understand framing and layout specifications.
• Assemble wood components and attach sheet metal to wood frames using appropriate tools and hardware.
• Check each completed panel for structural integrity, proper alignment, and adherence to blueprint dimensions.
• Ensure quality by inspecting materials and workmanship throughout the framing process.
• Inspect wood and sheet metal for defects and report any issues or discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
