About The Position

Our Site Engagement Lead will be responsible for onsite engagement experiences at our Palo Alto headquarters, serving as the driving force behind meaningful, high-impact in-person connection. This role requires a minimum of three days per week onsite in Palo Alto to ensure strong partnership, visible leadership, and hands-on execution of site programming. This individual will lead the Palo Alto Site Committee and own the design and delivery of a tiered onsite engagement strategy ranging from volunteering initiatives and community impact efforts to social gatherings and our annual signature site event. The Site Engagement Lead reports to the Head of Engagement and partners closely with DNA groups, Guardant’s Employee Resource Groups, to ensure inclusive programming, culturally meaningful themes, and broad employee participation.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in employee engagement, human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record leading onsite events and community-building initiatives.
  • Strong project and program management skills, with a history of successfully managing complex, multifaceted initiatives and leading cross-functionally.
  • Experience partnering with Employee Resource Groups or leading inclusive programming efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across functions.
  • Data-informed mindset with ability to measure impact and adjust strategy.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Palo Alto Site Engagement Leadership Lead and chair the Palo Alto Site Committee, setting strategy, priorities, and execution cadence for all site-based engagement efforts.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive Palo Alto engagement calendar, ensuring consistent onsite presence and programming.
  • Serve as the primary engagement partner for Palo Alto leaders, Facilities, Communications, Executive Admins, and People team partners.
  • Maintain strong onsite visibility and accessibility to build trust and encourage participation.
  • Tiered Onsite Programming Design and execute a structured engagement portfolio that includes:
  • Community & Volunteering Initiatives. Local service opportunities aligned to Guardant’s mission and values.
  • Connection & Social Experiences. Inclusive gatherings that foster cross-functional relationships and team cohesion.
  • Learning & Culture Moments. Themed programming in partnership with DNA groups that elevate belonging and shared understanding.
  • Annual Signature Palo Alto Event. Lead end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of our flagship onsite event, ensuring strong participation and measurable impact.
  • Partnership with DNA Groups Collaborate closely with Guardant’s DNA groups to integrate inclusive themes, cultural celebrations, and community-building experiences into site programming.
  • Ensure DNA-led initiatives have visibility, resources, and operational support for onsite activation.
  • Align engagement efforts with broader priorities and company values.
  • Measurement & Continuous Improvement Define and track success metrics for Palo Alto engagement initiatives.
  • Gather employee feedback through surveys, listening sessions, and informal touchpoints to continuously refine programming.
  • Translate engagement insights into actionable recommendations for leadership.
  • Strategic Alignment Ensure Palo Alto programming aligns with enterprise engagement strategy and business priorities.
  • Partner with the Head of Engagement to scale best practices and share learnings across sites where appropriate.
  • Manage budgets responsibly and creatively to maximize employee impact.
