About The Position

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a dynamic Palliative Medicine physician to join our team at East Orlando. Our leadership has committed to ensure an interdisciplinary approach to providing care thus expanding the teams at our campuses. The current open position is for a physician leader at the Adventhealth East Orlando location in East side of Orlando. The provider will join one APP and one social worker to provide inpatient consultations to our 295-bed community hospital. Clinical care expectations include goals of care, family meetings and complex symptom management in the inpatient setting. The program strives to foster a growth mindset and appreciates its wide diversity of providers backgrounds including psychiatry, family medicine, critical care and internal medicine. The whole palliative inpatient division is composed of seven physicians, twelve APPs, six LCSWs and chaplains over seven hospitals. The department has two fellowships, a one-year ACGME physician fellowship with two positions and a one-year APP fellowship with two positions. The position does require that the physician provide rotations at the East Campus for our fellows.

Requirements

Strong clinical skills and desire to grow with the program
Board Certification/Eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine along with active board certification through one of the co-sponsoring boards.
Comfort level with overseeing APP’s (APRN/PA)
Comfort with education (Fellows/APPs)
