About The Position

Our program is growing. The Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care seeks a full-time physician to deliver expert in-person outpatient palliative care at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center. This provider would be board-certified or board-eligible for Hospice and Palliative Medicine. The physician will support a broad adult patient population, including those with solid and hematologic malignancies receiving chemo/immunotherapy as well as patients undergoing advanced therapies such as CAR-T and SCT. In fewer numbers, this provider would also consult on patients with other life-limiting conditions caused by end-organ failure. In 2025 we moved our existing outpatient palliative care team (comprised of physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, and chaplains) to a new, large, multispecialty clinic facility. This physician will lead the rebuilding of our original palliative care ambulatory clinic at the University Hospital location of Carbone Cancer Center. As such, the successful candidate will not only be a skilled palliative care physician, but they will also help rebuild and strengthen the palliative care presence at this critical site.
