About The Position

Valley View is seeking a full-time Palliative Care Patient Service Specialist II to join our team! Responsibilities include Provides patients and physicians with professional and friendly reception duties. Organizes patient flow, keeping physicians and patients on schedule. Maintains patient files and accounts in a professionally accurate manner. Screens office manager, physician and nurse calls, handling appropriately. Cross-train in PCT/CNA/MA role. Performs all clinical duties per licensed health care provider or delegation of a registered nurse, designated specifically by the clinic. Provides assistance to licensed health care providers and nursing staff for general patient assessments, rooming patients, procedures, treatments, filing/retrieving medical records, and general office clerical duties. Performs patient care tasks following clinic standards of care as defined in policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Current BLS Certification preferred or obtained within 3 months of hire.
  • Required to successfully complete Assessment-Based Recognition (ABR) program in order entry for electronic health records (EHR's) within 30 days of hire or a current CO CNA License or current RMA/CMA Certification.
  • Two years in a reception or clerical field.
  • Excellent customer service skills; strong computer skills.
  • Clerical skills: typing, filing, scheduling, computer, phone and people skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Laboratory and/or X-ray experience preferred.
