Palletizer (Day Shift)
About The Position
The palletizer is responsible for stacking and placing products neatly and correctly on pallets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operation Pull product from conveyor and build pallets. Use RF scanner to create pallet tickets for finished goods completed skids. Operate pallet jack as needed in a safe manner at all times. Quality Control Ensure cases are properly sealed and including the correct date code and stacked neatly. Reporting and Record Keeping Record pallet ticket number on finished goods report. Maintenance Keep work area clean and orderly. Replenish tape on tape machine when required. Unjam tape machine and restart when required. When machines are down or as required: Make boxes and label boxes. Clean-up work area. Check with operators or supervisor on anything else that needs to be done. Damage cases need to be reworked before end of shift. Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Able to use RF scanner for Warehouse transactions.
- Able to operate manual pallet jack and/or electric pallet jack.
- Able read, understand, and comprehend documents such as Safety Rules, internal quality procedures, and machine operating procedures.
- Ability to communicate production and machine issues to supervisors and others in work area.
- Basic mathematics (i.e. counting), basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- High school diploma, but previous work-related skills, knowledge, and experience is needed.
- A minimum of one-year experience in a manufacturing environment.
