About The Position

The Palletizer position at Crown Cork & Seal involves performing a variety of equipment operations, mechanical adjustments, and quality checks in the production and manufacture of aluminum cans. This role is essential for maintaining the highest quality at the lowest possible costs and includes responsibilities in the Warehouse and Palletizer areas of the production floor. The position requires a safety and quality-minded approach, with a willingness for excellence in all aspects of the job. The Palletizer will operate automated machines, keep production lines flowing, make continuous quality checks, and perform minor adjustments to factory equipment. The role also involves keeping supervisors informed of operational status, following standard operating procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) in a team environment.
• Knowledge and work history focusing on quality and safety.
• Ability to work twelve (12) hour shifts, evening (7pm-7am).
• Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion.
• Ability to regularly stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• May require climbing or balancing.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more automated machines or equipment for the production of aluminum cans.
• Keep production lines flowing and make continuous quality checks.
• Perform minor adjustments to conveyor belts and various factory equipment.
• Maintain accurate and continuous quality checks and recordkeeping.
• Understand and follow verbal instructions to completion of assigned tasks.
• Inform Production Supervisors/Managers of operational status and production issues.
• Follow standard operating procedures.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Help develop standard operating procedures and provide training for equipment operation.
• Reinforce all safety procedures.
• Keep work area safe, clean, and organized.
• Perform other related duties as required.
