Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Placing finished bags, cartons/trays on pallets, observing all safety regulations.
  • Ensuring all GMP (good manufacturing practices) and quality standards are met.
  • Maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process.
  • Stacking/Palletizing – Twisting, tying, and applying hog ring to 50 lb. bags, lifts, and stacks up to 50 lbs. bags and places them on the correct pallet.
  • Operating a pneumatic staple gun, wrapping and taping loaded pallets, applying stickers to finished goods.
  • Using pallet jack to transport pallets of finished product from production to staging area.
  • Packing – packing 1-10# bags from a moving conveyor into a master bag/box.
  • Counting to 50 to assure proper weights and measures accountability.
  • Determining the colors to sort through various bags on a pack loop.
  • Cleaning area, sweeping, and shoveling carrots and cleaning equipment and work area.
  • Being accountable for the re-work product to be moved to the cold room in a timely manner.
  • Removing raw product and solid waste from food contact surface and properly cleaning and sanitizing the production facility area/grounds and equipment at the end of the shift.
  • Covering and protecting sensitive equipment with canvas/plastic cover.
  • Applying cleaning chemicals to all machinery.
  • Using centralized and/or portable foaming systems.
  • Helping disassemble equipment.
  • Applying heavy-duty chemicals to breakdown accumulated sugars.
  • Applying concentrated sanitizer to walls and overhead.
