The Fairfield Police Activities League (PAL) Teen Center is looking for amazing team members to support program staff and help teens grow, learn, and have fun. PAL Recreation Specialists lead program participants in a variety of activities in an assigned program or service area, including but not limited to recreation activities, health and fitness programs, prevention programs, special events, and marketing functions. Positions are part-time, year-round, non-benefited, and limited to working no more than 999 hours in a fiscal year (July 1-June 30). Candidates must be available to work a varied schedule to meet program needs, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Monitor program and site rules, policies and regulations.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to all program participants, facility users, City personnel and the public.
  • Monitor behavior of program participants.
  • Conduct set up and clean-up of facility and equipment; may be charged with the opening and closing duties.
  • Assist with miscellaneous office tasks, i.e. retrieving and distributing mail, receiving shipments, delivering items to program sites.
  • No prior experience is necessary.
  • Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License may be required depending on assignment.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of recreation programs and activities including active and passive games, arts and crafts, dramatic arts, nature and science, and special events.
  • Knowledge of modern office equipment, including computers.
